Truth will win in the end.  He who resides on the opposing side of the Truth, however will not debate as to which side is correct. Deception and distraction are his only tools and he uses them tirelessly. For example, though it has been utterly debunked he holds to the theory of “Global Warming”  or “Global Cooling” or “Climate Change” knowing that science will not back up his claims (the same could be said for evolution, abortion or homosexuality) but instead continues to declare his theory as fact in order to advance a particular ideology. This ideology is not new, however, it was used in the Garden of Eden to deceive Eve and it has been at work ever since. Those who have bought in to a life-view that underscores the preeminence and omnipotence of God cannot easily side with the ideology of those who exalt God above all things.  Why?  Because they don’t honor the same Master; theirs is a liar, a thief and a murderer from the beginning so it is easy to understand why even in spite of the scientific evidence that disproves their theories, they continue to advance them.  (This “evidence” by the way, is used as the reason for not believing in God in the first place but it is looked past when it doesn’t match the conclusion at which they have already arrived)

“Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word.  You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me.” (John 8:43-45)

This is why, apart from the Holy Spirit energizing it, fruitful debate cannot take place between those who oppose and disdain God and those who exalt Him as glorious Father and everlasting King.  They will lie and distract and stop their ears at all things that come against their creed.  They would rather willingly buy into a lie than face the Truth.  (Rom. 1:24-26)

So as the events continue to play out and we find ourselves racing ever-closer to a one-world economic and political system, we will see the events described in Revelation unfold and chalked up to “Climate Change” or “Crazy Right-Wing Rhetoric” or some other distraction.  But know this, there will be a time of great trouble, such has never been before and those with waists girded and lamps burning will be the ones who will lead others out of the chaos and into the heart and desire of God.  (Mt. 24:21, 25:1-13, Lk, 12:35-37, Dan. 11:33)

“If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. O Lord, come!” (1 Cor. 16:22)

Excellent post here! I consistently have this kind of discussion with a friend who says we can never know truth, since it has no boundaries. Truth is just always evolving from many people agreeing to most people agreeing, i.e. theories. He believes that we could never know, even when all the evidence supports the case of Christ.
